Jocelyn Collado, APR

Vice President

As Vice President at Becker Communications, Inc., Jocelyn Collado oversees the agency’s promotional public relations and digital communications divisions and provides issue management and community relations support to the firm’s corporate communications clients. She has nearly 30 years of experience managing public, media, and community relations for public, private, and non-profit organizations.

Jocelyn previously served as senior communications manager and acting chief of staff for the state’s Office of Enterprise Technology Services (formerly the Office of Information Management & Technology), where she helped to launch the State’s information technology transformation initiative. She held communications positions at the American Heart Association in Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i State Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the State of Hawaiʻi Office of Elections.

Jocelyn holds the prestigious Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential. Her work has been recognized with multiple awards from the Hawaiʻi Chapters of the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America. In 2023, she was named the PRSA Hawaiʻi Gregg W. Perry Public Professional of the Year for her distinguished and exemplary career.

Raised on Hawaiʻi Island, Jocelyn graduated from Honokaʻa High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Hawai‘i – West O‘ahu. An active community member, Jocelyn currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aloha Medical Mission and is a past president and board member of PRSA Hawaiʻi, Palama Settlement, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

When she’s not directing client programs, Jocelyn is busy collecting stamps in her passport, indulging in her passion for food and wine, and living up to her reputation as Hawaii’s shoe diva.
